So I haven't reached the point of crazy and I'm no were near Mad in any form of the word but I'm finding that deep down I love chemistry labs! Maybe it's all the chemicals that are floating around giving me a high for the four hours I'm in there. Perhaps its the super fashionable goggles that leave you with the ring of awesomeness around your eyes. I would also like to say that it stems from all the times I would wake up as a boy to watch this wonderful old man do science experiments. What is even better is that his name was Mr. Wizard, sweet right?
But it could still also be from Ghostbusters! Egon was a total nerd but was a hero because they figured out how to use energy beams to track and trap ghosts. As a Biology major I can't help but love this response:
That's how I get all the ladies. It could also be the opportunity to build up my pride and superiority complex by knowing words that are almost more complicated than their meanings.
but sadly deep down I know that it is mostly because I thoroughly enjoy being precise or because I'm anal or dare I say a perfectionist! ME!? no it can't be true!? but sadly it is my friends it is.
I'm currently taking a class called Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis (Chem 223) which is a class structured to teach students the benefits of being precise...ect. We are rewarded for doing the tediously accurate measurements that I compulsively do anyway! Even when baking I tend to have this problem!
My last reason for loving this class has to be because of the excitement and enthusiasm of my professor. Dr. Macedone. He simply is just a great teacher and the best way to describe it is to say that I feel like if John Bytheway was a chemistry professor the class wouldn't be much different. He told us his favorite Chem joke which goes: What do you do with a dead chemist? Answer: Ba! (For those of you who don't speak chemistry Ba is the symbol for the element Barium!) They even look similar! hooray for the average clean cut nice white boy! soon enough we'll be a minority just you wait and see!

"...and what do they do in Tijauna when they wanna snuggle tight"
My friend/Roommate/ Brother from another mother: Daniel Mooney posted his comments about the blissful joy of escaping the distracting "banter" that happens in the computer labs. It made me think of this poor opera singer with whom we may all now sympathize with. (watch this, it's only 7 mins and will make your day)

This is the link to the only place that has it in English! The Arabic (I think it's Arabic) Youtube one sent me to this original.

Extremely Erratic but Incredibly Cool!
Wow!
The more I've begun talking about this book the more layers I find to it! as Shrek would say "[it's] like an Onion" and no it's not because the book stinks, or that it makes you cry (although you might), and certainly not because if you leave it out in the sun it turns brown and sprouts little white heads.[if your lost go here]
Oskar is not your normal 9 year old boy. He is very intelligent and inquisitive. He might even have Asperger syndrome which is similar to Autism, "which I know about". The story is hard to find at first its almost like life! you just get thrown into the stream of consciousness of Oskar's mind. Even the dialogue is blended together instead of traditional hard returns for each new person speaking. Then when you feel like you start to get your bearings it changes again! at first it's frustrating but you learn how it goes and it becomes fun!
The story overall is actually sad but there are lots of funny lines here and there to keep you from crying
Oskar is an inventor some of his inventions are cool!
Birdseed shirt: so birds would come and fly you to safety.
Drain under everyone's pillow: when people cry them self to sleep their tears good down their drain and into a huge reservoir.
A monitor that makes the sound of your heart beat. everyone would have one so you could be more aware of how they are feeling. Calm, nervous or whatever the situation.
Also there is an ambulance that has a scrolling message that will be able to sense when the loved one of the person were watching and would tell them if it they were going to be ok or if it was serious.
There were also the idea to give skyscrapers airbags.
...there are many more
the reason for his inventions pop into his head when he is nervous or worried about something. They mostly are inventions that could save his Dad from dieing in the world trade center on 9-11. through out the book you can't help but feel for Osker and honestly I wanted to cry once or twice but the ending is worth it so don't let that discourage you from reading it.
ok thats it for now I still need to write a paper on this!

Buddha buddy
A dog is not considered a good dog because he is a good barker. A man is not considered a good man because he is a good talker.
This is the first of a new start to this blog and I hope that my lack of communication skills reflect upon who I am. Thanks Buddha buddy
